We are seeking an experienced Manager – Engineering to lead mechanical maintenance operations across chemical manufacturing plants and the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) section in the North Block area. The role will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, maintenance planning and budgeting, engineering projects, equipment reliability, spare-parts management, GMP/ISO documentation, SAP maintenance records, EHS compliance, and resource management. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Stores, Purchase, HR, EHS, contractors, and other cross-functional teams to ensure equipment availability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and achievement of production targets.

• Planning, budgeting & implementation of Mechanical Maintenance of all equipment in various chemical plants & ZLD Section (North Block Area), so that their performance is as per requirement to achieve the set production targets smoothly.
• To implement Preventive Maintenance program of all chemical plants/ ZLD sections (N. Block) as per schedule to prevent sudden breakdowns.
• To prepare/initiate/maintain all QMS documents like SOP, Formats, RFDs, Manual, Change Control, CAPA, incident, deviation and investigations etc.
• To prepare/maintain all documents like Preventive Maintenance records, Equipment Qualification, consumable records etc. as per GMP, ISO, Regulatory & IOLCP guidelines.
• To maintain/update the preventive maintenance/maintenance record in SAP.
• Mechanical support in the designing, budgeting & implementation of new projects as per good engineering practices.
• To maintain optimum inventory level of critical spares in close co-ordination with Store & Purchase Department.
• Planning and implementation for new expansions, modifications & improvement projects to minimize operational costs.
• To ensure compliance of Legal concerns, internal as well as External Audit reports.
• To form the Performance review of employees, training need identification, implementation of training programs.
• Resource planning, deployment and their optimum utilization.
• To undertake any other duties as appropriate and as required by the organization.
• To allocate job to contractor and co-ordinate with them to ensure the proper working.
• To execute day to day activities like Shutdown, Breakdown, Maintenance of Equipment, Preventive maintenance, etc.
• To coordinate with managers for allocating the manpower effectively and ensure maximum productivity and review the Performance of employees and coordination with Human Resource Department for appropriate staffing levels.
• To impart On Job and ATC trainings to sub-ordinates as per the identified training needs and keep the staff motivated.
• In case of absence, Job delegation will be assigned to fellow Engineer/ Associate General Manager.
• To ensure the compliance of Social Accountability and the provisions of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Environment, Health & Safety (EHS):
• To work in a manner that complies with the company EHS policies as informed by concerned area In-charge.
• Providing necessary information / equipment to subordinates to protect their health.
• Auditing his/her area of control for improvement w.r.t. EHS and implementing corrective actions for all violations as highlighted in safety audits.
• Ensure that organizational training requirements have been completed and provide individual employees with training specific to the area in which they are working.
• Making subordinates available for attending in house/out house EHS training.
• Taking disciplinary actions against violators of EHS rules/regulations as highlighted during audits.
• Prepare accident reports and forward copies to EHS and implement recommended corrective actions to avoid recurrence.

• Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within chemical/process manufacturing plants.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Experience with chemical plant equipment and ZLD systems is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of GMP, ISO, QMS, EHS, CAPA, deviation, change control, and audit compliance.
• Experience using SAP for maintenance management and records.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, shutdown management, spare-parts management, and contractor coordination.
