Job Description

Summary

As a Medical Representative at Sangrose with a few years of experience, you act as a key link between the company’s pharmaceutical products and healthcare professionals (doctors, pharmacists, clinics). You understand Sangrose’s medicine portfolio and use that knowledge to effectively promote those products in your assigned territory. With 2–4 years under your belt, you combine good product knowledge with field experience — enabling you to build and maintain relationships, meet sales targets, and contribute to growing the company’s market presence.

Responsibilities
  • Promoting Sangrose’s medicines to doctors, clinics, pharmacies — explaining uses, dosages, benefits, side effects, and clinical details.
  • Scheduling and managing regular visits/meetings with healthcare professionals, and planning a territory‑wise visit schedule.
  • Building and maintaining long-term professional relationships with doctors, pharmacists and other stakeholders to encourage repeated prescriptions or orders.
  • Achieving or exceeding assigned sales targets (monthly/quarterly), contributing to company revenue and market reach.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities, gathering feedback from clients (doctors/pharmacists) about product performance or dissatisfactions, and reporting market intelligence to marketing/management.
  • Maintaining records and documentation — customer visits, feedback, prescriptions/orders, follow-ups.
  • Conducting product presentations or providing product information — sometimes organizing or participating in workshops / CME events / educational sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, ethical practices and company policies when promoting medicines.
Qualifications
  • .A bachelor’s degree — often preferred fields include pharmacy, life sciences (e.g. B.Sc. in Biology / Chemistry / related subjects), though other bachelor’s degrees with good communication skills are sometimes acceptable.
  • Preferably some basic understanding of medical/pharmaceutical concepts (drugs, dosages, therapeutic categories) — not strictly mandatory for all firms, but helpful for credibility when meeting healthcare professionals.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills — needed to convey drug information, persuade doctors/chemists, build rapport
  • Sales‑oriented mindset: negotiation, persuasion, target‑focus, resilience — since reaching sales/prescription targets is central.
  • Willingness to travel (within territory), visit doctors/clinics frequently, flexible schedule — field‑work nature of role demands mobility. (Implied from typical MR duties.)
  • Good organization, record‑keeping, time‑management skills — to manage appointments, visits, follow-ups, feedback and reporting.
  • Basic digital / computer literacy (e.g. for reports, CRM, order tracking) — many pharma companies expect this for sales tracking and records
